Common
Questions

What is the Salad Bowl game?

Salad Bowl is a team party game in which players guess the same collection of words over three rounds, using descriptions, one-word clues, and acting. This browser version manages the shared word bowl, timer, and scores.

How many people can play?

Play with 2–12 players split into two teams, with at least one player on each team. Each person joins the same room on a phone or another device with a web browser.

What words should we put in the bowl?

Try familiar people, places, objects, animals, or inside jokes your group knows. Choose words you can imagine describing and acting out. You can also use the randomize option when submitting words.

Can we skip a word?

Yes. You can skip as often as you need. A skipped word stays in the bowl for later.

Can we play another game with the same players?

Yes. After the final scores, the host selects Play Again. The group returns to the same room with its players and teams, ready to submit fresh words.

Can we play Salad Bowl remotely?

Yes, with a separate video call so teammates can hear clues and see the acting round. Each player also opens PhoneFiends in a browser and joins the host’s room.
